I haven’t made sangria since my Spicy Summer Sangria so it seems only fitting to make a White Winter Sangria! Fresh apples, pears, grapes, and spices topped off with bubbly champagne make this a festive drink to be enjoyed well through the new year!
…..
Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith apples, sliced and cored
2 Bosc pears, sliced
1 cup seedless white grapes
15 whole cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
3oz (3 shots) curacao
1 (750ml) bottle of dry white wine (pinot grigio is usually best)
1 (750ml) bottle of chilled champagne
Sprigs of rosemary for garnish (optional)
*Side note: The cheap stuff works just fine! 😉 I <3 Andre! haha
Add apples, pears, grapes, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a large pitcher. Top with curacao and white wine and gently stir. Cover and refrigerate for 24-48 hours.
When ready to serve, fill wine glasses with ice, fill ¾ of the way full with sangria and then top off with champagne. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary or pieces of fruit and serve.
Enjoy responsibly!
