Almonds are one of my favorite snacks and Sriracha is one of my favorite condiments to add to… well… EVERYTHING! Combine those two?! Now I don’t want to eat them any other way! These are great to make for cocktail parties, but you better double up the recipe because they are wonderfully addicting!
…..
Ingredients:
1 egg white
1 tsp water
2 cups (1/2 a pound) of almonds
3 Tbs Sriracha
1 Tbs brown sugar
Coarse salt to taste
Recipe adapted from Bon Appetit
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F and line a baking sheet with foil.
(1.) In a medium sized bowl, whisk egg white and water until frothy. (2.) Add almonds and stir until completely coated. Drain excess egg white. (3.) Add Sriracha, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt and stir until almonds are evenly coated. (4.) Spread almonds out in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until dry.
Tattooed Martha Tip: These will stick to the foil a bit because of the egg white and sugar, but if you let them cool for about 10 minutes they come off a lot easier!
Serve right away or put them in zip-lock bags to snack on later!
Enjoy!
