With the days warming up and every tree and flower in bloom right now, I was inspired to make a blushing spring cocktail that captured this beautiful season. This bubbly concoction is perfect for a spring or summer brunch and can easily be made into a non-alcoholic drink by using club soda or sparkling white grape juice!
…..
Ingredients:
5 cups blueberry basil lemonade – Find my recipe here!
1 (750ml) bottle of champagne (club soda, sparkling white grape juice, Sprite, etc for a non-alcoholic version)
Edible flowers for garnish (optional)
To make your granita you’ll want to pour the lemonade into a glass baking dish (13″ x 9″). Place in the freezer for 4-6 hours, scraping the edges and surface with a fork every hour. You’ll want to break up any large chunks of frozen lemonade so you have a snow cone-like mix.
*Tattooed Martha Tip: Make this the day before your party! After you have the fluffy snow cone-like texture, just leave in the freezer. The mixture will harden up a bit over night, but just use a fork to scrape at the ice and break up any large chunks before serving.
When you have the consistency you want, spoon into glasses and top with a little champagne.
Garnish and serve!
Enjoy!
