If you caught my vodka Infusion post you might have seen a little sneak peek to this one, the Spicy Jalapeño Peach Cocktail! It’s sweet, spicy, and simple to make using just 3 ingredients. The spicy peach vodka I made is smooth enough to sip straight, but I added a little honey and some peach flavored sparkling water to bring out the flavors and make it not quite as strong. This one is perfect to enjoy on a warm spring day!
Spicy Jalapeno Peach Cocktail
(makes 2 cocktails)
Ingredients:
4oz Spicy Peach Vodka, chilled (recipe here)
1 Tbs honey
Peach flavored sparkling water
Slices of fresh peach or jalapeño for garnish
If you’re wanting to skip the five day wait for the infused vodka you can pick up a bottle of peach vodka and a jalapeno pepper instead. Pour about a cup of the flavored vodka into a glass, cut the jalapeno pepper in half and drop one of the halves in. Use the end of a wooden spoon to muddle and mash the pepper a bit. Cover and let the mixture sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Obviously the longer you let it sit, the spicier it will get, but if you’re needing a cocktail ASAP, go ahead and mix it up!
Combine vodka and honey in a cocktail shaker or large glass. Shake or stir until honey is completely dissolved. Pour over ice or chill vodka beforehand. Top off with sparkling water, garnish, and serve!
