Mason jar crafts are by far my favorite. They’re cheap, versatile, and you can always recycle them when you’re done! Here’s a quick way to turn one into a snowy festive votive holder!
…..
Supplies:
1 empty canning jar – any size
White spray paint
Snowflake stencils
Tape
Scissors
Paper towels
Optional:
Thread
Jingle bells
Christmas light buttons
Start by placing your snowflake stencils on the jar and tape in place. Cover any gaps between stencils with tape as well to keep the paint from getting on those areas.
Cut a curvy line on the edge of the paper towel and tape in place, covering the stencils and upper half of the jar.
In a well-ventilated area, spray paint one coat on the bottom half of the jar. Let dry for 30-45 minutes.
Remove paper towel from the top. With a new paper towel, cover the bottom half of the jar. This is so if there are any drips or mis-sprays, you won’t ruin that “snowy” curvy line you just created.
Spray paint each stencil, let dry for another 30-45 minutes.
Remove paper towel, tape, and stencils. You can call it done and place a candle in it or add an extra touch like I did! I just strung together jingle bells and the Christmas light buttons alternating and tied around the top of the jar!
Happy Holidays!
