After a particularly long and stressful day I decided it was time for a drink! I threw together this cocktail and sat down to watch the sunset when I couldn’t help notice that my drink was the same color as the sky! And the Sailor Sunset was born! It’s refreshing, sweet, strong, and exactly what you need to wind down after a tough day!
…..
(makes one drink)
Ingredients:
2oz (2 shots) Sailor Jerry Rum
1oz curacao
Juice from half an orange
1oz grenadine (or juice from maraschino cherries)
Add all ingredients except for grenadine to a cocktail shaker and give it a good shake. Pour over ice, add grenadine, and garnish with an orange wedge and cherry.
Enjoy responsibly!

Hello! I just happen to buy a bottle of Sailor Jerry because of the label and I am obsessed with anything to do with lakes, sailing, water, Hawaii, we live on a lake, plus my dad was in the Navy. I just did a google search looking for Sailor Jerry recipes and found YOU. I am from Minnesota and I found another obsession, your website and FB page. I cannot wait to dig in further. I love what you did with the caps and bottle labels…right up my alley. Anyway, it’s Friday, decided to try the Sailor Sunset improvising with OJ and triple sec but LOVE it and cannot wait to share with friends. Thanks for your talent and I look forward to following!
