Each time we go to our favorite Mexican restaurant I can’t help but order one or two.. okay, sometimes three.. pomegranate margaritas. They make theirs using a pomegranate syrup, but I wanted to try my own version using juice instead. The result: Pomegranate margarita perfection! Not only is pomegranate juice much better for you (health benefits from happy hour? Why not!?) but it adds a natural sweetness to the cocktail. Whether you’re hosting friends at your place or you just want to relax after a long week, tip back a delicious homemade pomegranate margarita!
……
(makes 2 margaritas)
Ingredients:
2oz resposado tequila
1oz Triple Sec
¼ cup pomegranate juice
Juice from half a lime
Coarse salt
Ice
Lime wedges and pomegranate seeds for garnish
Combine tequila, Triple Sec, pomegranate juice, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well to combine. Pour salt into a shallow dish, rub the edges of the glasses with a lime wedge and dip into salt. Fill glasses with ice and distribute pomegranate margarita mixture evenly. Garnish and serve right away.
Enjoy responsibly!

I’m not supposed to drink but when I do I go all out with margaritas or swirls. Since I LOVE margaritas and pomegranates this is just too tempting to not try!!!
