Peppered Bacon Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary’s are pretty delicious on their own, but Bloody Mary’s with thick cut peppered bacon?! Even better! It’s like breakfast in a glass AND you have a wonderful buzz when you’re done. Hmmm speaking of which.. I haven’t had breakfast yet.. ; )
…..
Makes about 4 Bloody Mary’s
Ingredients:
3 cups tomato juice
1 cup vodka
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
½ Tbs hot sauce
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper, plus more for bacon
Juice from half a lemon
Juice from one lime
Half of a jalapeño – remove seeds and rinse if you want yours a little less spicy.
4 strips of thick cut bacon
4 celery sticks
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add bacon strips. Sprinkle fresh ground pepper on top and cook for 3-4 minutes. Flip and sprinkle the other side with pepper. Continue to cook and flip often until bacon is stiff but not too crispy. Place on a paper towel to cook and set aside.
Combine all ingredients except the bacon in a pitcher and stir well. Place bacon strip, celery, and any other garnishes into glasses and then fill with ice. Strain into glasses and serve!
Enjoy!
