With the bitter temperatures of winter and overall gloom and doom that the season brings, it can get downright depressing! I decided to snap out of it by whipping up a batch of mango margaritas. Not only does the bright vibrant color instantly boost your mood, but the sweet tropical flavor makes it feel like summer again! Before you get snowed in again, stock up your supply of mango margarita ingredients and spend your weekend relaxing and dreaming of warmer days!
…..
(makes 2 drinks)
Ingredients:
Lime wedges and sugar to rim the glasses
1 mango (1 ½ cups), peeled and sliced
2oz tequila
2oz curacao
1oz simple syrup (follow my tutorial on this drink post to make your own)
Juice from 1 lime
A handful of ice
(how cute is this tequila bottle that a friend gave us?!)
Pour sugar into a shallow dish and run a lime wedge around the rims of two margaritas glasses. Dip glasses into sugar to completely coat the rims.
Combine mango, tequila, curacao, simple syrup, lime juice, and ice in a food processor or blender.
Puree for 20-30 seconds or until you no longer hear ice chunks hitting the blades. Pour into margarita glasses, garnish, and serve!
Enjoy responsibly!
