If you’re of legal drinking age then you’re no doubt familiar with the Moscow Mule: A simple mix of lime juice, vodka, and ginger beer, traditionally served in a copper mug. While I always appreciate a classic, I also love to put my own spin on things and added a bit of fresh grapefruit juice to the concoction as well. I can already tell you that this will be my go-to drink to relax with on those hot summer days! The grapefruit adds a nice tartness while the lime and ginger beer give it a refreshing and crisp finish. Add a few strips of fresh ginger in the bottom of the glass and muddle for an extra zesty ginger flavor!
…..
(makes 1 cocktail)
Ingredients:
2oz lime juice (2 limes)
2oz grapefruit juice (1 grapefruit)
2oz vodka
Ice
Ginger beer (about 4-6oz but I never measure)
Mint, grapefruit, and lime wedges for garnish
Combine lime juice, grapefruit juice, and vodka in a Collins glass or copper mug. Stir and add a handful of ice. Top with ginger beer, garnish, and serve.
Enjoy responsibly!

Why not do what I do and use grapefruit vodka or even better…jalapeno grapefruit vodka. Enjoy!

Jalapeno Grapefruit Vodka sounds amazing! I know it’s a little extra work to do fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, but nothing beats the crispness and flavor of it! Cheers Jim!
