Holy panic attack… I had some issues with my computer this morning and thought it had a virus or had bit the dust once and for all. I’m happy to report that I’m back up and running, but I’ll be spending the remainder of the day making multiple backups of EVERYTHING!
This week we have the pleasure of dog sitting our two favorite Bostons, Milo and Shotzy! Josh has been extremely busy since tax time means tattoo time for a lot of people, but he’s taking the weekend off and we’ll be heading to the beach!
I’ve been wrapped up in a few projects outside of Tattooed Martha lately and I didn’t realize until yesterday that it’s been awhile since I checked in with you all. It was sparked by a lot of you saying you were intimidated to try homemade bread after reading my French baguette post. I was too, but after making them I realized just how easy it can be! I want you to tell me what food item, recipe, craft, etc., that you’re intimidated of, and I’ll do my best to work through them and post about my experience, the recipe, and/or tutorial. I love trying new foods and recipes, so let me make the mistakes so you don’t have to!
This blog may be written by me, but it is molded by YOU. Share your thoughts and suggestions below! 🙂

Okay first, the “puppywearing” as I’m going to call it- so cute! I have friends that have a Boston Terrier and he’s a little cutie just like these two 😉
As for suggestions, maybe it would be cool to do a meal or item each week that is healthy but still tastes really great. I know my biggest struggle with eating healthy is finding stuff that doesn’t taste healthy. And maybe some more grilling recipes for summer! I saw a thing for grilled pizza (not healthy, I know I know) that looked really interested.
And keep the drink recipes comin! 😉

Pan seared or Roasted Salmon.
Have never cooked salmon at home but I love to order it when we go out!

I agree with Lacy – something healthy but really delicious would be awesome. And maybe tackle some not so mainstream veggies? I have no idea what to do with eggplant, but my boyfriend loves it and I’d like to find something to make with it!

Macarons! They are so tasty but I hear they are hard to make. Would love to see you tackle them!

Have you done a layered cake?
I’ve been doing a layered coconut pecan cake for my mom’s birthday the last few years and I’m still intimidated by it! I have trouble getting the layers to be even and stack right so that when I frost it the layers slide around and its lop-sided. I think I’m afraid to do the carving and mess it all up completely! I’d love to see you give some tips! 🙂

They’re definitely tough! I made this REDRUM red velvet layer cake around Halloween, https://www.fairrobinrevival.com/2013/10/20/redrum-cake-with-boozy-cream-cheese-frosting/. If I ever have any uneven parts I try to layer the frosting a little thicker to balance it all out. I’ve got a few birthdays and anniversaries coming up that I’ll be baking 2-3 layer cakes for so I’ll keep you posted and make sure to include any tips!
