I look like the Jolly Blonde Giant..
Today I’m writing my Daily Life from Starbucks while I watch planes land at the airport. I find comfort in being this near to the airport since they sometimes feel like a home away from home anyway. I decided to take a few hours to myself to work on the blog and write since my trip back home so far has been pretty hectic..in good ways.
The day I flew in (I didn’t have time to sleep and ended up being awake for 42 hours!) I attended my oldest brother’s 35th birthday party, the weekend consisted of a bridal shower and the crazy bachelorette party! I’m happy to report that we managed to stay out of trouble..somewhat..and we all had a wonderful night! The day after I spent some time with my other brother and his daughter, who had me running laps around the yard from ‘monsters and zombies,’ which is exhausting by the way! ; ) Yesterday the newest Tattoo Magazine came out! Be sure to pick up a copy so you can read my interview! Today (after I finish the 10+ posts I need to type up!) I’m stopping over to see my other niece and nephews and get some quality time in.
This trip is pretty important to me as far as spending time with friends and loved ones because this will be my last visit for a while. I need to buckle down and be a little bit selfish so I can accomplish what I need to in the remaining half of the year. Not only do I need to plan (and save for!) my own wedding, but there are tattoo conventions we need to be at, traveling arrangements that need to be made, moving to a new place, and I need to take Tattooed Martha to the next level. Making all of those things happen in the next 6 months will be a major feat within itself, but I have confidence in myself that I can make it happen! ; )
