Today’s Daily Life post is special in many ways. It’s the first one of the New Year, its tattoo related, and it’s my mom’s birthday!
About a month ago I asked my followers on my Facebook page what they would like to see more of on the blog. One of the more popular suggestions was to see more of the tattooed aspect of Tattooed Martha, so here you are!
Before having nearly two full sleeves, my first large color tattoo was a traditional ‘Mom’ tattoo. I never pictured myself having tattoos on my arms, but I really couldn’t see myself getting this tattoo anywhere else. I had my artist scan a card my mom had signed and we used her signature in the banner. She loved the tattoo but quickly scolded, “NO MORE!” …..Whoops! ; )
Some of my favorite memories are spending time together in the kitchen, where she showed me how to cook and bake. She also got me into crafting and going to thrift stores. She’s not only an amazing mother, but also an amazing grandmother. We laugh, fight, and cry together. She has been my biggest supporter and best friend every step of the way. It hurts so much to be living 1800 miles away from her, but like the “Daughter” coffee cup she gave me says, “The bonds we have are everlasting.” No amount of distance can ever change that. Mom, I love you and happy birthday.

So sweet. <3.
When I got my "mom" tattoo, she said, now why would you get a tattoo for me when I don't even like you getting them? 😉 Aren't moms cute?

Hahah yes, I knew I would get more so I figured I would try to appease her by making the first one for her!
