I know the official start of fall isn’t for a few weeks, but in my mind it has already started and I’ll be the first to say BYEEEEE SUMMER! Don’t get me wrong, summer has it’s moments, but when you have a vacation planned for the fall, humidity is not your friend, and you’re basically a vampire and fry up like bacon anytime the sun hits your skin.. you kind of can’t wait for summer to get over with. I’m also slightly biased with my birthday being at the end of September, but it’s definitely my favorite month. It just seems to bring about an air of change, reflection, and creativity.
Since I haven’t been able to post a lot lately I wanted to touch base with you all on the blog. I kept toying with this idea of re-branding or relaunching it in hopes that I will be able to create more content or that it would spark something new, but the reality is.. the same amount of time (which is little) would be left to work on it and if anything I’d be creating even more work starting from scratch. So rather than scrap everything and start over, I’m going to return to it’s original purpose. Regardless of name or how often I’m able to post to it, will always be a creative outlet and platform for me to share and connect with you. I’m doing my very best to stockpile some new content to share over the next few weeks!
So speaking of sharing.. I have some really fun news to tell you! This is usually the part where someone announces an engagement or baby.. but for me that baby’s name is Europe! I got my passport in the spring and have slowly been booking flights and arranging hotel/AirBnb stays throughout France and Italy. This is seriously a dream come true for me and I am damn proud of myself for making it happen! My gentleman friend (I hate the word boyfriend) and I will be leaving on the 29th of this month and taking an overnight flight to Paris. I will arrive in the City of Lights on the 30th on my 30th birthday.. and yes I totally planned that.
I’ve already received so many recommendations on what to see and do, but I’m all ears if you have anymore ideas. I don’t do museums.. maybe someday, but I don’t want to spend the majority of my limited time standing in lines for my first visit. I just want to explore different cities, eat amazing food, have great experiences, and see beautiful things. If you have any suggestions that fall under those categories, comment them below!

How awesome!!! Congrats on living your dream!
I would suggest a walk along the Seine from Notre Dame to the Eiffel tower.
I love the Saint Michel area also.
If you like shopping the BHV is an awesome 160yo old store by the city hall(the city hall is quite a sight too).(and Ok, I work at the BHV and love the feel of the place, I’m pretty biased)
The restaurants around the BHV are pretty good too and quite cheap(rue des Archives, look for the restaurants with the rainbow canopy).
If you want to grab a beer or a glass of wine while there with me and my boyfriend(I agree, terrible word) we would be delighted. Our favorite bar is l’absynthe café.
Oh! The restaurant Les Petites Assiettes (147 avenue du Maine) has delicious food! Local produce, good wine.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful suggestions! This is just what I needed! Most of what I can find online are all the typical spots and museums so this has been so helpful. And I would absolutely love to meet up with you! I’ll send you an email so we can connect from there. Thank you again!

One more thing, since you like beer :p
I don’t know if you like belgian beers though, but La Chouffe is really good.
I know you can find it in the US but in some bars in Paris you can get it on tap (at the absynthe cafe for example).
I’ll be on a plane on the 30th, but back home on october 1st. 🙂 I might not be able to communicate on the 30th, just so you know.
Have fun!! Fall in Paris (anywhere actually) is awesome!!!!
