I apologize for dropping off the grid for a bit. It’s been a busy couple of weeks with the tattoo convention, traveling, work, and friends visiting. As if I didn’t have enough forces fighting me.. Upon arrival back home we discovered our internet wasn’t working. After numerous calls to Comcast we decided to wash our hands of this terrible company and cancel. Please bear with me as I catch up on editing and emails!
As I wrote last week, we were at the Hell City Tattoo Festival in Columbus, OH. It was by the far the best convention I’ve attended so far. I think nearly half of the artists on my “tattoo bucket list” were in attendance and we met so many wonderful artists and collectors. We’ll also be doing the Hell City Phoenix show again this year, so we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there! I’ll share more about the convention itself in tomorrow’s Tattoosday.
We had some friends from Iowa visiting over the weekend so we took them out to see some of the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. The next day we headed for the coast where a friend let us use her family’s phenomenal 5 bedroom lodge tucked away in the woods with just a short walk to a private beach. It was a much needed getaway for all of us! I took far too many photos over the weekend to cram them into a Daily Life so I think I’ll dedicate a separate post for it this weekend.
I’m going to be honest.. I feel like I’m drowning right now. Emails continue to flood my inbox, days off to cook, craft, and write seem to be nowhere in sight, and there’s a ridiculous amount of behind the scenes work and maintenance that needs done for the site. I could really benefit from some extra helping hands so if you know anyone or you yourself have a blog and would be interested in contributing a guest post for Tattooed Martha this month or for June, please email me at Sasha(at)TattooedMartha.com to discuss further…. or please send me loads of coffee so I can get all of this done! Haha either way! š
I hope you guys are having a productive week!
