I was quite surprised earlier this week when I attempted to log on and publish a post, only to find that my site kept crashing! Thanks to many shares of my Ocean Stone Bath Mat post, I had an immense amount of visitors to the blog that I was not prepared for! I took some time to upgrade my hosting to provide more bandwidth and also put a few more things in place to keep spammers off the site. I didn’t want to continue to publish new content when the majority of my readers couldn’t access it, so I appreciate all of your patience this week while waiting for new posts.
Despite the chaos, I love the direction things are moving. I’m forever waiting for the moment of calm when I can get my shit together and I’ve finally realized.. that moment isn’t going to happen. I just need to stay in motion with the chaos and work twice as hard to accomplish all that I need to!
This week was also a very social one.. Monday I went on a thrifting/vintage shopping excursion with my friend. She shared some of her favorite shops around Portland and I found the mother of all homemade shirts..
I think there’s roughly a hundred pom poms glued onto this thing.
The next day my good friend and talented photographer, Lindsey Rickert, came over to shoot some new jewelry from Pill Jewelry. It was a lot of fun and lot of weirdness.. wigs, mannequin arms, and awkward positions to get “the shot.” We wrapped things up and then headed to Por Que No for tacos and pomegranate margaritas!
