Cinnamon Pumpkin Rum Shake

I wanted to squeeze one last pumpkin-themed treat in this month before we transition over to everything peppermint and gumdrop coated for December. This boozy concoction was suggested by Daylen, who I owe many thanks to! Of course I adapted this recipe using my favorite rum, Sailor Jerry, to create what I’ve nicknamed.. naughty pumpkin pie in a glass!

Recipe slightly adapted from Bon Appetit

(makes 2 milkshakes)

Ingredients:

2 cups vanilla ice cream

¾ cup pumpkin puree

½ cup milk

¼ cup Sailor Jerry Rum

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1 tsp ground cinnamon (I actually left this out since I used my cinnamon infused rum!)

½ tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp nutmeg

¼ tsp ground cloves

 

For rims of the glasses: (optional)

3 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

…..

Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Run water around the edges of two tall glasses and dip into mixture. Set aside.

Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and process until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve!
