It’s been awhile since I’ve used my crockpot and I was feeling a bit lazy after several days of cooking for the blog. Ironically, this became a post for the blog too of course, but thankfully with minimal effort on my part! The chicken turned out tender, juicy, sweet, and a little spicy with the help of spices, BBQ sauce, and Blue Moon. This is a great recipe for a party (the Super Bowl is this Sunday!) so you have more time to focus on other dishes and entertain your guests!
…..
8-10 servings on regular hamburger buns
Ingredients:
½ cup BBQ Sauce (I love Sweet Baby Ray’s!)
¼ cup brown sugar
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
1 (12oz) bottle of Blue Moon beer
2lbs (3 large) boneless skinless chicken breasts
Hamburger buns or slider buns
Additional toppings:
Shredded pepper jack
Red cabbage or lettuce
Coleslaw
(1.) In a crockpot, add BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and spices. (2.) Slowly stir in Blue Moon until completely mixed. (3.) Add chicken, cover, and cook on low for 5-6 hours. I flipped the chicken breasts about halfway through the cooking process, but this is entirely optional. Just make sure chicken is cooked through to the middle. (4.) Use two forks and shred the chicken.
Add toppings and serve! I usually top mine with cheese and put it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes to toast the buns (hamburger buns that is!) and melt the cheese.
Enjoy!

This sounds great and I can’t wait to make. My husband and I eat your sailor jerry pulled pork all the time and a couple months back I used chicken instead of the pork and it was great. This sounds even better
