Autumn Spiced Apple Bread

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
1 stick of unsalted butter or ½ cup, room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups sweet apples, finely chopped. One very large apple will equal 2 cups.
*I used SweeTango apples which are a cross between Honey Crisp and Zestar apples.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg and set aside.
In a separate bowl cream together butter and sugar. Then add eggs, applesauce, and vanilla.
Slowly stir your dry ingredients into butter and sugar mixture until all lumps are gone.
Add chopped apples and mix well.
Pour into loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Pop loaf out and let cool an addition ten minutes on a drying rack. Serve warm or cool and enjoy!
