Thanksgiving was amazing! My jeans are definitely snug today but believe me.. it was worth it!
Our friends brought over a grilled turkey, cornbread stuffing, apple cider gravy, and a homemade pumpkin pie. I did a pineapple and brown sugar glazed ham, bacon wrapped garlic and rosemary chicken drumsticks, sausage and apple stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, garlic and rosemary mashed potatoes, cranberry glazed sweet potatoes, two pans of green bean casserole, a vegetarian dish of Italian roasted acorn squash, and Sailor Jerry spiked pecan pie! We even had someone bring Voodoo Doughnut which made it a real Portland Thanksgiving! I’ll definitely be posting some of my favorite recipes from yesterday for you guys to enjoy.
Our apartment is decently sized so despite not having a dining room, we made due with the space we had. Our friend let us borrow two 6ft long tables that we pushed together and we rented the chairs. Martha may never have used plastic table cloths or folding chairs at her Thanksgiving, but I was pleased with what I could do on a budget! : )
I had such a good time yesterday and I’m very thankful for all who came and helped out!
